Artists work with their hands and tools where they cut the dough hot and formed before cool.
The hot dessert used in Amezaiku is very tricky to work because of the very high temperature that must be used to melt the candy to become hot making it stretchable and massage by hand like dough, there is a lot of pressure in working quickly to carve candy in its shape before it gets cold and harden.
In Tokyo, Amezaiku is prepared directly front customers, prices start from about 300 yen and may reach more than 8000 yen for private business, as a dessert in the shape of your face, for example.
At present there are not a lot of candy artists in Japan, according to some estimates, there are less than 50 professional artists in Japan.
